Kaossonome = Kaoss Pad + Monome

Inspired by Korg’s Kaoss Pad and the Monome, the Kaossonome features Kaoss Pad-like sampling programs and is Monome 256 compliant. The Kaossonome interfaces a musician via a touchscreen, 256 LEDs, and eight rotary encoders. The enclosure is less than an inch thick and features an aluminum front panel, a dark wooden frame, and a clear plexiglas back panel. The Kaossonome powers and transmits serial data over USB, and a modified version of ArduinomeSerial transforms the data into MIDI and OSC.
